Junkebox

About the project
A journey to Colombia without leaving the place.
That was the concept created for ProColombia’s presence at FIEXPO, one of the largest MICE tourism trade shows in South America.
For its edition in Santiago, Chile, the experience was designed to immerse visitors in Colombia’s rich cultural diversity transforming the booth into a multi-sensory journey through the country.
At the center of the concept was the Colombian Jukebox: an interactive application where each vinyl represented a different region of Colombia. Visitors could choose a destination by selecting a rhythm, triggering music from that region while discovering its culture, tourism highlights, and identity through on-screen content.
The experience extended beyond sound and visuals. The space also featured cultural performers, traditional Colombian coffee, local snacks, and beverages creating a fully immersive environment that engaged all senses.
Over 4,000 visitors experienced the booth across three days, making it one of the most dynamic activations of the event.
My role
I contributed to this project across four key areas:
Strategic Planning: defining the overall experience direction and objectives;
Experience Design: crafting the visitor journey and multi-sensory interactions;
Design Concept Creation: developing the creative concept that shaped the narrative, visual identity, and engagement of the activation.
The result was an immersive brand activation that translated Colombia’s cultural richness into a memorable and interactive experience, blending music, storytelling, and sensory engagement.
